Brief History
Keiyo South Constituency Green Initiative Program is dedicated to promoting sustainability, environmental stewardship, and a greener future. Our program is led by our Patron. Hon. Gideon Kimaiyo (Member of Parliament Keiyo South Constituency) together with a passionate team of individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on our planet and communities. We work in collaboration with the Government of Kenya, businesses, educational institutions, Parastatals and community based organizations to drive sustainable development and inspire collective action in the ever changing climate change environment.
This is in line with the President of the Republic of Kenya H.E William Samoei Ruto who launched a tree restoration program on 21st December 2022 in line with his pledge of planting 15 Billion Trees by 2032.

Our Focus Areas

Afforestation helps to protect soil from erosion, improve water quality, and regulate water cycles. By planting trees along riverbanks, in watershed areas, or on slopes prone to erosion, our green initiative has contributed to environmental conservation and enhance the resilience of ecosystems.

We promote sustainable living practices such as energy conservation, waste reduction, water efficiency, and responsible consumption. Through education and awareness campaigns, we inspire individuals to adopt eco-friendly behaviors in their everyday lives.
